Project [BLANK] is thrilled to announce an electrifying weekend of art and activism featuring renowned artist, poet, and activist Guillermo Gómez-Peña and his legendary performance troupe, La Pocha Nostra. This two-day event, taking place on Friday, October 18, at Bread & Salt Gallery and Sunday, October 20, at The Front Arte y Cultura Gallery, will immerse audiences in La Pocha Nostra’s groundbreaking blend of performance art, film, and ritual.
Guillermo Gómez-Peña has spent decades at the forefront of contemporary art and activism, establishing himself as one of the most influential figures in performance art. An outspoken advocate for border culture, Gómez-Peña’s work dissects the complex realities of identity, migration, and social justice through visceral and thought-provoking performances. His collective, La Pocha Nostra, is globally renowned for its transgressive and visually arresting theatrical works, merging political commentary with ritualistic performance.

El Proyecto [BLANK] se complace en anunciar un fin de semana electrizante de arte y activismo con el reconocido artista, poeta y activista Guillermo Gómez-Peña y su legendaria compañía de performance, La Pocha Nostra. Este evento de dos días, que tendrá lugar el viernes 18 de octubre en Bread & Salt Gallery y el domingo 20 de octubre en The Front Arte y Cultura Gallery, sumergirá al público en la innovadora mezcla de arte escénico, cine y ritual de La Pocha Nostra.
Guillermo Gómez-Peña ha pasado décadas a la vanguardia del arte contemporáneo y el activismo, estableciéndose como una de las figuras más influyentes del arte escénico. Defensor abierto de la cultura fronteriza, el trabajo de Gómez-Peña disecciona las complejas realidades de la identidad, la migración y la justicia social a través de actuaciones viscerales y que invitan a la reflexión.
