Are you passionate about media arts and social change? Ready to make an impact in your local parks?
Land + Lenses is a placemaking program designed to activate Otay Valley Regional Park. As a paid apprentice, you’ll take on the role of a community leader and changemaker, shaping arts-based activities that connect people with the park while exploring themes of art, healing, environmental justice, and the land.
What You’ll Gain as a Youth Apprentice:
- Leadership training and skills in program development, facilitation, communication, and documentation.
- Opportunities to collaborate with staff, local artists, and community mentors.
- Experience guiding program activities and recruiting participants.
- A $1,685 stipend for your contributions.
Program Requirements:
- Youth ages 14–24.
- Commitment to a 100-hour program (approx. 5 hours/week).
- Availability after school hours (January–July, specific dates TBD).
- Must attend in person in San Diego.
