As part of the 10th Annual Dia de la Mujer exhibit at The Front Art Gallery in San Ysidro, come hear, learn about and experience the beauty of poetry set to music in the genre known as «art song».
This lecture recital will include an explanation of art song, how it fits into the world of classical singing, the composers, and the poets.
You won’t wanna miss this unique collection of songs, sung in 4 different languages, surrounded by the art of the «Dia de la Mujer» exhibit.
This cross border event features the soprano, Anishka Lee-Skorepa from San Diego, along with mezzo Ivanna Valadez-Guzman and Ivan Mares on piano, both from Tijuana, Mex. Learn about some of the exciting new collaborations happening on both sides of the border as well!
