Hector Suchilt will be teaching a series of workshops for The FRONT Arte y Cultura this spring!
These workshops will be exploring oil painting through the use of tone value scale, limited color wheel, and the zorn color palette. Through the span of one month, participants will learn how to prepare their materials, use shades in objects, then apply their skills in their own oil painting artwork.
The dates for all sessions will be on Thursdays in May 1, 8, 15, & 22 from 4pm to 7pm.
This workshop is free of charge and will include materials. No experience needed.

About the Teaching Artist:
Hector Suchilt, a.k.a. Su.chi.It, is multidisiplinary artist based in Chula Vista, CA. His artwork often depicts hands in his pieces, symbolizing his connection to the sense of touch. His art is a journey of self-discovery and a reflection of his unique perspective on the world. As co-founder and curator of Stein’s Hollow Gallery, Hector has been a driving force in providing a platform for local artists to share their stories and talents.
Estos talleres explorarán la pintura al óleo mediante el uso de la escala de valores tonales, el círculo cromático limitado y la paleta de colores Zorn. A lo largo de un mes, los participantes aprenderán a preparar sus materiales, usar sombras en los objetos y luego aplicar sus habilidades en sus propias obras de pintura al óleo.
