DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce the screening of “Don’t Look at Me” a video concert previously filmed at The FRONT Arte Cultura on the day of the solar eclipse\, April 8th 2024. \nThe event runs 5-7pm. The film itself lasts 30 minutes and will be preceded by a brief artist presentation beginning around 5:30pm. Following the film\, attendees will be invited to partake in homemade rice krispies wrapped in the excess red plastic wrap Pulido has used in multiple performances throughout 2024 as a symbol of shame\, an invitation to “peel back the layers” of shame to access pleasure.

Son of Border Crisis (1990)\, directed by Isaac Artenstein\, tackles the cultural clashes and immigrant struggles faced by Mexican-Americans. SF Apocalypse (2022)\, is a post-pandemic experimental performance\nfilm set in a dystopian art space on the periphery of San Francisco. Shot by filmmaker Gustavo Vazquez\, the film features a cast of 25 artists who join Gómez-Peña in creating a visionary commentary on the collapse of creative spaces in a post-pandemic world. Oaxacalifornia (2024) showcases decades of collaborative work by La Pocha Nostra with artists in Oaxaca\, Mexico.
